CORE PURPOSE
Transforming the lives of homeless men by uniting community partners to offer these men hope, help, and resources that enable growth into physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually healthy contributors to their families and the community.
Our History
For many years, men in our community who found themselves without shelter did not have a place to turn. Thankfully, under the guidance of Joel Rice (housing specialist for Five County Mental Health), the Ministers' Community Partnership, a group of pastors from area churches who banded together across denominational, racial, and geographical lines, recognized the problem and helped to create the Henderson/Vance Men's Shelter in 2009. The project became Community Partners of Hope, Inc, a not-for-profit organization founded in 2011. In 2015, we expanded our ministry to include a transitional house for up to 7 men who are taking the next step out of homelessness, and in 2023, we began a Capital Fund Campaign to be able to move into a new shelter location at City Road Center for Hope. That dream became a reality when construction was completed and we moved our shelter into our new facility on September 17, 2024! Now we are focusing on more ways to help our shelter clients to move on to better things.
